The Nordic Council of Ministers has explicitly stated that it wants the Nordic countries to be the best place in the world for young people and children (Nordic Council of Ministers, 2018a). However, despite the favourable family policies that have been enacted in support of this goal, the birth rate is below replacement levels in almost all Nordic countries.

To celebrate this jubilee, around 20 tables and diagrams have been produced, which show the development within many different aspects of Nordic life over the last 50 years.
